Tanzanite ➔ Tanzanite is a rare blue-to-violet gemstone found almost exclusively in Tanzania. It belongs to the zoisite mineral family and is prized for its beautiful color-changing effect, called pleochroism. Most tanzanite is heat-treated to enhance its blue-violet color. It has a Mohs hardness of 6–7 and is a December birthstone.

The base metal is 925 Sterling Silver only. All our Gold and Rose Gold jewelry is 1 Micron Plated. Therefore, we recommend taking better care. It should not be regularly exposed to water and moisture, and should be kept in a dry and closed box in a humid climate. This will help to make the plating last longer.
